We just moved here. My 3 1/2 year old loves Kings Island amusement park. There are a decent selection of rides for the little ones and their attached water park has a lazy river that is fabulous in addition to the water slides, etc.

In town or close to town: Cincy Zoo, Newport Aquarium, Coney Island/Sunlite Pool,Museum Center at Union Terminal, Carew Tower Observation Deck, Reds game and Hall of Fame Museum, BB RIverboats cruise

Just a little bit north of Cincinnati: Kings Island, Beach Waterpark, EnterTRAINment Junction, LM&M Railroad

Other's have mentioned Graeter's Ice Cream and Skyline Chili, but there is also Larosa's Pizza and Mongomery Inn Boathouse

p.s. Don't forget to check out what festivals and such might be going on while you are here. I don't know when you are planning to visit, but there is Riverfest Labor Day Weekend and several OktoberFests in mid-late September (Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is the big one).

Depending on how much time you have, Kings Island is great. It's been years since I've been there, though. I'm not sure if Coney Island is still there; big pool with play areas too. The zoo is awesome and although it isn't free, it is great! I'm not sure if Cinci has a kids museum, but it might be worth looking into.

I love Cincinnati! Kings Island is a lot of fun. My hubby loves Skyline Chili. I like Max & Ermma's for food. Greaters Ice Cream is a must. We eat there when we go to Columbus. Enjoy your time. I miss OH.

Are you staying at Coco key? My daughter goes to Xavier so we stay there when we come in to visit. I have heard the zoo is great but we never went there. St Louis has an amazing free zoo so when I was told we would have to pay, no thanks.

You must get Greaters ice cream. I think Skyline chili looks like dog food but everyone else says it is a must.

Sorry if this seems to revolve around food. She is a starving college student so her must sees tend to be restaurants.

Oh her little brother and sister are 10 and 12.
