Hi, does anyone know how to keep a 13month old away from the christmas tree?! My other children was scared of the tree at that age. I have a real tree and I think she's going to get stuck enough and stop touching it!

What can I do next?

I'm not sure how this would work for a 13 month old but my twins are 17 months all and we went round and round about a play yard, gate, etc. WE thought the play yards were too expensive to just use for Christmas and we would get no other use out of it. We put our tree up Sunday and implemented the one finger rule. They can touch but with only one finger. One does really well, the other likes to grab but he's catching on. We practice all day touching things with one finger. This was an idea my girlfriend used and her son was only 15 months at the time. Best of luck.

I have heard of people putting the tree in a playpen. Or maybe you could use one of those all-around-gate/play fence things.
