So we got a real christmas tree and the branches are all laying upwards, any suggestion on how to get them to "open" up?

What can I do next?

Just give it a day or 2, the branches will 'fall' naturally!

time and ornaments. And make sure that you recut the trunk and that it is getting plenty of water.

They will fall on their own, it only takes a day or so. If they are still really up and tight, where you can't decorate, then put it in the stand, water it, and leave it standing for another day, it should be ready to decorate then. Merry Christmas!

Put on lights and ornaments. :)

They will usually naturally start to drop/fall a little over time. But, really, when you get the lights on and the ornaments, the weight of the ornaments will make the branches drop some. It sounds perfect to me. :)

Merry Christmas!
