There are red and green chips in my grocery store. Serve with salsa.

Spread some veggie cream cheese on a spinach tortilla with tomatoes, red peppers, and some lettuce/spinach. Wrap then slice into rounds. Festive! (Another spread is equal parts salsa and cream cheese. You can add shredded cheese if you want.)

How fun! How about pizza with green bell peppers.

Veggie plates are fun - you can slice up green/red peppers (I don't love green peppers so maybe cucumber or sugar snap peas (my kids favorite).. Fruits - kiwi and strawberries if you can find them - our local Costco has them.

I'd go for real foods rather than adding food coloring.

Have fun!

How about rice krispie treats. Use green or red die in the melted marshmallows and there you go.

I also saw green and red chips at Walmart. Maybe serve those with Salsa. (maybe for the four year old)

Strawberries and green grapes

Those are a few things that popped into my head. Enjoy!!

Here's a good page for healthy red & green foods (mostly fruits & veggies)
http://lancaster.unl.edu/food/ciq-holiday.shtml

You might also use pasta (pick out the red and green spirals before cooking) with spagetti sauce.

Guacamole with red tortilla chips

You could always use food coloring or beet juice to make mashed potatoes red.

I like the idea of the pizza... if you make a homemade one, you could even shape it like a Christmas tree or wreath.

Good luck!

Spinach tortilla chips with fruit salsa.

You could cut the tortillas using Christmas cookie cutters, brush with a little butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, then bake until crispy. For the salsa, blend strawberries, kiwi and green apple in the food processor until desired chunkiness.

Do you have a good sized christmas tree shaped cookie cutter (or a snowman or a star)? Make sandwiches they will eat and cut to that shape (grill cheese cuts nice after you let it cool a few minutes)..or just free hand cut it with a knife. If they like green and red veggies (tomatoes, cukes, red & green peppers, etc) , make a salad or side dish of them in a bowl. The holiday chips as others suggested are fun and festive. Brocolli is green, peas,, etc. Other items are red.

Some grocery stores will have holiday colored bread they make this time of year...always fun for sandwiches or with butter on it to go with soup or pasta, if you can find it.

You can make milk green with just a teeny drop of food color..some like that?

I do a few of these things with my daycare kidlets!
