Each year I always feel as if I am forgetting someone. I am making an absolute have to buy for list. Help me determine if I am forgetting anyone. Do you see anyone on this list that you normally buy for that I am missing?

Hubby and kids
Kid's teachers
In laws
My parents
Aunt and Uncle
Assistant at work
Cleaning lady

I have no siblings, no nieces and nephews yet and no grandparents alive, and I normally buy for people like the postman, hairdresser, etc, but this year I am just going to bake for them. So who am I missing?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I am looking for supplements to the list above to be sure I didn't miss anyone. Thanks!

God Jim, must you always be such a smart a**? I was asking if you see anyone on this list that you normally buy for that isn't on my list. For example, someone may buy for their landscaper and suggest that. It doesn't mean I have to buy for that person, they are just pointing out people I don't have on my list that they see as important to have on theirs. I didn't ask who you don't buy for. I cannot believe I just had to spend time explaining this.

My kids are proud that they have no idea I just called you a smart*ss? I will be sure to go home and tell them. It is Friday! You need to relax!!

** Oh yes, forgot my donations to the local community fund. Good call.

Ding Ding Ding! Thanks Melissa - we have one that is very special to us and I would have died had I forgotten her. We haven't seen her in a while so that is probably why I forgot in making my list now. Thanks!

I suggest you add the ancillary teachers too (PE, Art, Music). These encrichment classes usually are the icing on the cake for students.

Jim, why not grandparents????

Does your hubby have siblings to buy for? Sorry if I overlooked something in your post. It's been a looooong week. We also give our mail carrier a little something. This year I will just bake for him.

we always give a gift to our priest, my hairdresser, my husbands boss at work. and if you have a daycare provider or a regular sitter (teenage or older) a gift at Christmas is appropriate.

Our list is pretty short.
Husband, kids and me
My parents
His parents
Brother, sister in law and niece

This year my cousin and her 2 kids will be coming out and staying with my parents so we'll pick something for them just because they will be here. I might just quickly knit something small up for them.
Sometimes the kids will pick up something small and special for their neighborhood friends if they see something they just *have* to get them and it's not too much.
We always buy some toys for Toys 4 Tots as well.

I give a gift to my gardener. It's usually just extra cash as a bonus since he works pretty hard.

I get the daily paper and it's not uncommon to receive a card from the delivery person with his/her address on it. If that's the case, then I send back a card with a little money in it as well.

Are there any friends that you usually exchange gifts with?

Also, I have a neighbor with a kid that gave my kids a gift two years ago, so I was prepared with a gift last year, but we didn't end up exchanging gifts. So, I'm just going to take the left over gifts and donate them to charity. I will likely pick up something small to have on hand in case they bring over a gift.
