Have you and your daughter gone to Longview Lake Christmas in the park? You drive through and see the lights. Very beautiful. Thanks for the info on the house on 75th street, I'll have to take the kids by that house.
My daughter and I like to drive around and look at Christmas lights and displays. We generally go to the same places every year and love the tradition. I'd like to find new places/areas/neighborhoods that have good light displays or are worth a visit over the holidays. We usually go to the Plaza, Union Station, Crown Center and our favorite...a place we call "The Christmas House" which is a great house that someone decorates literally from top to bottom in lights and old mechanical toys etc. It has a mechanical nativity scene, santa's workshop complete with elves and dancing toys and lots lots more. The roof is completely decorated with miniatures from the 1940's. Its at 75th Street and Falmouth in Prairie Village. Its about 1/2 block North of 75th on Falmouth which is between Belinder and Mission Rd. Its a delight and worth the drive!
Anyone else have places they might want to share?
Thanks for the suggestions! Keep 'em coming. I just thought I'd mention about the web lights on 63rd, we usually go there every year as well but sadly, they don't have them up this year! Those were so nice!

There is a house right by me that has about a million of those blow up christmas decorations in their yard, its been on the news lately. It is at Mur-Len and Indian Creek Parkway in Olathe. It is definately interesting and you can't miss it!
Go out to Longview Lake, they have a drive through display, it's free, they just ask for a donation!
I've heard of that house, thanks for the address.
There's the street that's near that area too about 75th and Lamar.
I just heard a list of homes the other day on the radio on my way to work. Of course my mind went blank.
Just heard about a house in Brookside off Oak and Brookside Blvd.
Mission Hills along 63rd St. has those "webs" of lights stretching all over the neighborhood--if you head west on 63rd from Ward Pkwy, you'll see where to start cruising up and down blocks. Not traditional, but beautiful.
If you happen to be out in the 95th & Metcalf area some evening, there's a house at 95th & Lamar that is really well done. It's just one house, and it's not mechanized like the one in PV, but it's very elaborate, with a Christmas tree over the front porch and everything!
Christmas Card Lane in Olathe-- about 146th-ish and Ridgeview- you can't miss it!
