try costumecraze.com they have great stuff!!!
I'm going to run my first race, a 5K (3.1 miles) and I'm SO excited. What is even more exciting is that it is going to benefit arthritis which my mom suffers from AND it's a Christmas themed race. I LOVE Christmas and all my friends like to give me a hard time about it. Anyway, all of the runners/walkers are going to wear jingle bells on their shoes and we are encouraged to dress Christmasy. I've been looking for a red running top, but haven't found one yet. I'm trying to think of other ways to Christmas up my running attire. I mean most Christmas stuff is designed for cold weather and certainly not for running a race. Any ideas from you creative mommies out there?

Look on Oriental Trading Co. website b/c I bet they have christmas stuff on clearance. They might have head boppers or socks, or shoot, even tattoos, and those are hot weather friendly. I know I just saw a Christmas Tree hat on there for a few dollars, although it probably will be kind of warm. I have the hat and it's way cute, but it's felt or something. Also, you could do red/green bandanas to tie on your head or in your hair. You could look for knee socks, although those might be hard to find right now too, but a sporting goods store would probably have red and or green soccer socks. You and a friend could each buy a pair and swap one out so you are both sporting one of each color. I'll keep thinking, but so far that's what I've got!
no ideas but i wanted to tell you that running your first 5k will be such fun! you'll be amazed at how well you did and so proud of yourself when you are done. it's the best feeling. speaking for myself... running my first 5k last year... i can't remember the last time i was so proud of myself. have a great time!!!!!
What about getting a red or green tank top?
If you got a green tank top, you could put something on it to make it look like a decorated tree..... cut some christmas balls out of felt and glue them on, or something silvery to look like a tinsel string....
Also... congrats for signing up for a race! That is super cool!
I'm not at all creative but just wanted to congratulate you on signing up for your first race. Please be sure to tell us how it goes!
Wrap your ponytail with garland; go to the fabric store and get a fuzzy white boa to make a santa-esque collar and cuffs for your red shirt; tie some mistletoe/holly to your shoes with the bells. Have fun! I did a jingle bell run (though actually near Christmastime and had a blast.
