I'm in commercial property managment and every year we host a luncheon or dessert bar and give gifts such as nuts/cookies, etc...to our tenants for the holidays. In the previous years, we've ordered from the Popcorn Factory and places with nut tins for gifts and served BBQ or the traditional turkey/dressing dinner. Any suggestions or ideas for this year?
We used Dinner Served for catering...they were WONDERFUL! Very professional and the food was great. We went with gift baskets from Executive baskets, Carolina cookies and Ms. Fields cookies. We also got Calendars w/company logo and gave w/gifts. Thanks for all your suggestions/ideas.

One fun thing to do around the holidays when it gets a little chillier is to treat people to a coffee bar. This is basically a coffee shop that comes to your location and serves made-to-order specialty coffee drinks. My husband serves customers this way in his own side business, The Java Bar. The response is always very positive. We live in the Austin/Cedar Park area, but there are probably similar coffee services in Houston.
In Pittsburgh, there's a company called "A basket of Pittsburgh" that has different options for basket that include all the local favorites, etc.

Prices range from under $20 to $250.
Anything like that in Houston?
I would recommend Yummies Catering if you are looking for a caterer:
One of my favorites was when my boss got hot chocolate, hot cider, and the most amazing holiday cookies from a place called Sweet Tooth in Rosenberg (SW suburbs of Houston). They were as good as homemade (maybe better)! If you're looking to do a meal, I would go for the traditional turkey and dressing dinner. I don't know anybody who dislikes that!
Give out Applesauce Bread! It's so tasty and it's a perfect holiday gift.

They have really great food gift items.
My Dad, used that for his Business clients etc. and people always loved it.

Why not try a taco ot fajita bar for the luncheon. There are a lot of great places in Houston that do that. Food Gifts are quickly forgotten. You could give away something useful, like a magnetic calendar or memo pad for the fridge or even a little kitchen fire extinguisher.
