I am on a budget this year and I wanted some homemade gifts ideas. I have already done cookie jars, coupon gifts, frames. Any other ideas?

You could go to the craft store and buy cute molds and melting chocolate. You can then make festive chocolate in either pieces or in lollipops. All you have to do is melt the chocolate in the microwave, stir it up, spoon it into the molds and let it cool. Wrap them up in clear baggies and tie them with ribbon.

I am making photo calanders for my family this year. My Mac has a program to do this but I think PC's do too. You can print at home or at the store of your choice. It's a fun gift that reminds your loved ones all year that you love them!

If you crochet, you can make a bunch of scarves. I did that once. It was fun.
Or, using any photos, make a photo ornament...using a small paper plate that you decorate,as the "frame" or something.
Or, make popcorn... and sprinkle chili powder, peppermint candy chips, or other "spices" in the bag, shake it up, and you have flavored popcorn... putting it in those cute cellophane baggies with a cute bow on it.
Or, paint a rock, and it can be a paper weight. Put the date on it and whatnot...and put in in a nice velvet drawstring bag or something to gift it with.
Or, make soap. Buy clear glycerin soap from a craft store, working in small batches, put chunks of it in a Pyrex bowl, melt it in the microwave for a few seconds (you don't want it to bubble or the bubbles will stay there. Melt it in 3-5 second intervals), then pour the "melted" soap in a greased plastic "mold" (I use those Gerber baby food containers), and then let it harden. You can add a few drops of food coloring and swirl it around to make it different colors... or add essential oils to give it a "scent." I've done this tons of times, and it's easy. Then wrap it up all cute and nice and you have a nice gift.
Oh and what about flavored oils? Putting sprigs of herbs in it...I never did that, but I hear it's easy.

Good luck,
Susan

familyfun.com has a lot of great ideas you can check out. Find a recipe for homemade bathsalts or body scrubs. Book marks are easy to do to. You can get a plain set of notecards and have your daughter decorate the front for homemade stationary.

I don't know if you are a believer in the Bible but last year I made scripture boxes for my girlfriends. I wrote out like 50 of my favorite scriptures and put into a cute little "prayer" box. They loved them. Also, you can always bake I love to get homemade goodies as a gift. I would google easy christmas gifts and see what you get. Good luck and post any other ideas.
