Does anyone have any Christmas gift ideas for a six year old girl? She is in Kindergarten this year. She has a ton of Barbie things so I am trying to stay away from Barbie. She is really in to crafty type things so we are going to fill her stocking with a lot of things she can use for "her own crafts" in there. I would love ANY ideas anyone may have...Thanks!

What can I do next?

There are lots and lots of blogs out there with fun things to make- maybe you could do a search for crafts of things she really likes and print out some ideas and the supplies to make those specific crafts as well as a few extras. There are lots of craft kits at the craft stores, but I think they tend to be expensive for what they include. When I was 5-6 my personal favorite gift was a whole bucket of beads and string to make my own necklaces. If she's into jewelery making, there are lots of cute beads out there!

I have a 6-year old daughter also and someone gave me a really fun creative idea that you may like. The idea is to buy a sturdy small book shelf from a thrift store or garage sale that would fit the height of your daughter's dolls and go to carpet stores and buy left over carpet samples, tile samples, wallpaper samples and some children's paint that she can use, from any craft store. Basically, you give her the supplies to home decorate her own doll house. You can even go to Home depot for ideas on how to make some furnature. There is almost endless things she could do for the doll house. I believe we will be giving our daughter this same thing, because she wants a doll house and she loves her own crafts also. Good luck, hope this helps.

My daughter is six and is into tons of stuff! She loves her Nintendo DS and wants more games for it. She has asked for an American Girl Doll, so Santa is bringing her one of those. She loves Webkinz and the new Mazin Hamsters. She adores going online and playing on the webkinz site with all the codes from her beloved webkinz animals. She loves to write secrets, so we have gotten her a really nice girly diary for xmas. She really wants a charm bracelette too, so we will be doing that. We got her a really cute watch. She loves crafts too, so we found her this Crazy Flowerz kit that looks like fun. She loves those goofy little Squinkies (collectable little squishy things). She loves her bottle cap necklace, so we will be getting her more snap caps for that. They're also making snap cap hair clips, too. She loves ZhuZhu pets. She has asked for two different pillow pets. We got her the unicorn one for xmas. We've gotten her a light up tracing desk b/c she loves to draw and color. We got her a Blendy Pen set. The list goes on and on! They are SO easy to please at this age! I love it!!!

I just bought Fuzzoodles today. It is a kit that comes with giant, plump pipe cleaners (the fuzz feels like a stuffed toy) to make into animals/creatures and then there are different eyes, hands, feet included that you work into your design. It has won a lot of awards from parenting organizations. Looks like fun to me!

My daughter is almost 6 and likes crafts too. Some things she has gotten for gifts are: foam "paper dolls" to dress, jewelry making kit, sun-catcher kit, dot markers with dot coloring book, and "sticker mosaics", which are pictures that you make by sticking different shaped foam pieces to a design. My daughter also likes to build so last year she got Tinker Toys (the girly set), which have been a big hit, and this year she's getting the pink Legos. Lego also makes a few girly sets, like a horse stable. If she doesn't already have one, maybe make her a "craft station" with drawers for storing all of her supplies.
