Every year we send out picture cards for christmas. I'm wondering...is it kind of strange to haveh our picture on there be from this summer (all wearing summery clothing)? I feel like most christmas cards around here people are in sweaters, santa hates etc so wondering if this looks a bit odd. Its just a good family pic :)
I love getting summer pictures. It makes me want to go on vacation =)

I have seen pictures from Summer, Fall, and Winter. I got one from a friend showing her son blowing leaves. That struck me as a little wierd since it was not even a great picture. If it's a great memory and a great picture, I don't think it's wierd at all. Just make sure the card itself frames it appropriately.
If it's a great family pic, I wouldn't worry about it - I usually try to use something Christmasy or wintery but one time we got the best pic on the beach during our summer vacation. And it was where we go to vacation every summer so it still had special meaning to us and was representative of our family.
The picture you like the best is a great Christmas card. My sister and her husband do a different one every year. One was when they posed with some Disney characters and another was them standing next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Their cards are always fun to receive....doesn't matter the season.
I particularly liked doing Christmas cards with me and my dog visiting Santa.
