Looking for a Montessori School in Mesa, Gilbert or Tempe/Chandler area. This would be for a 7 year old boy. He does OK in public schools, but I feel he would really thrive in their different atmosphere. Any suggestions or comments from mothers who have had children in elementary Montessori school. There are a couple of MPS that have a montessori program. The schools are Johnson elm, and Mendoza elm. I have my son in the one at Mendoza. I hope this helps.
I am/was an AMI-trained Montessori primary teacher. What about Montessori are you interested in? Keep in mind that different Montessori schools run their classes differently.
I second the recommendation for Good Earth Montessori. It's one of the few schools that has a low teacher turnover. It's an AMI school (AMI is the organization Maria Montessori was actually associated with).

Make sure you visit the classrooms and stay and observe for a while. Don't just walk through--you want to get an idea of how the class is run and what the teacher is like. Again, not every Montessori classroom is the same, so you need to make sure the one you choose will work for your child.

My son is 5 and has gone to the Montessori Education Center on Gilbert and Adobe (Just past University)- They also have a campus on Lindsay and Southern. He has gone there since he was 4 and I love it there. The teachers are great and parents can be really involved which is one of the reasons i put him there. They also have many different activities for the kids of all ages. I would highly recommend it and they will let you go and take a tour if you were wanting to check out the facilities.
