I think most smart phones have GPS I know all the ones Verizon have, have it.
HTC makes great phones. But if I were you , if you can get as far away from AT&T as possible. We had them a few yrs ago and had nothing but trouble.
My cell phone carrier is switching...AT&T bought out Unicel. As a result, I get to pick a new phone. I have 3 options to choose from. HTC Aria, Palm Pre Plus, or a Blackberry Curve 9300.
If you have any of these phones, what do you like or dislike about them? Also, with the Palm Pre, the flyer says it has GPS, anyone used that function, and does it work well? Thanks for your input!

I just got an HTC Wildfire, which is very similar to the Aria. AT&T bought out Alltel where I live and in January they will be sending me an Aria to replace my Wildfire, which won't work on the new network. I like it, but it is my first smart phone (it is a droid) so I have really nothing to compare it to. My mom, dad and sister just got Blackberry Curves. I prefer my droid. It took me a few days to get used to it, but other than that it has been pretty easy to use. It does have GPS, we have played with it a bit while driving around town and it seems to work pretty well, the directions are direct and easy to follow.
I have ATT, dont have one of those phones tho, sorry. BUT, if they will let you out of your current contract for free I would jump and run right away.... if I had a choice I'd switch to Verizon and get a Droid... my dad has one and he loves it.
If you have to stick with ATT, my brother has the Blackberry, he texts a lot and takes pictures.... and really likes the phone, but says Dad's Droid is much better.
I have Verizon- have had for 10 years. But, I have a Blackberry Curve. I like it, it is not the best Blackberry currently on the market, but it is pretty great.
I'm not sure I can help you with the phone selection (I have an iPhone and love it) but with the negative AT&T reviews I wanted to chime in. I've had AT&T for YEARS and have never had a problem with them on my mobile phone (home service is another matter). My company has been paying my phone (thru AT&T and they were my personal carrier before ) but won't be after December. I plan on staying with them when I go back to paying for my own.
My husband has a BlackBerry (don't know which one) and really likes it, I've played with it some and I find it difficult after my iPhone. The functions I use the most are email, GPS, and texting. Go into the store and play with a model - make sure whatever you use it for the most is easy for you to use. Good luck, have fun!
I LOVE my blackberry. Very easy to navigate. Mine is a different model (the BB Tour) but I'm sure the operating systems are similar if not identical.
My dad uses a Palm and likes it as well. He has always used Palms.
I know this isn't too specific. But either the Palm or the BB will be a great phone.
HTC makes awesome phones. I have the 4G EVO and love it! I'd stay away from the Palm Pre. I've heard bad reviews on them. I previously had the Blackberry Curve 8300. It was a great, reliable phone, but internet browsing wasn't the best because of the small screen. Depends on what you want it for, I guess. If you're looking for the best internet phone, I'd go with the HTC Aria.
Most smart phones have GPS. I use mine all the time and love this feature.
I have the Palm Pre (not Plus) through Verizon. I have been very happy with Verizon. My Palm Pre probably gets mixed reviews. It is my first "smart phone" so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I find the screen pretty small which makes web browsing a little challenging. I have had trouble setting my speed dials and I haven't really done much with the GPS/navigation feature. I don't even know how extensive it is on my Palm Pre. However, the phone was a great deal and it is very convenient to be able to check and send emails. I think I rejected the Palm Pre Plus because my Palm Pre was on special at the time and was so reasonably priced.
