Has anyone ever used the chlorine tablets that you put in the filter basket? They sell a big bucket at Sam's and we were curious if these worked well or not before we buy it. Right now we use liquid chlorine for our pool. Thanks

What can I do next?

We have used both tablets and sticks, and both have worked great for us. Our pH and Cl levels stay consistent and we hardly have to mess with anything. If you want to try it out before buying in bulk, just about anyone carries smaller quantities of the sticks and tablets - Meijer, WalMart, etc. Hope it works out for you. Lots easier than cases of chlorine bottles!

We use the tablets and my husband likes them better than the liquid.

You can also purchase chlorine granulates. You use about 24 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water. The granulates are also supposed to help with "cleansing" the pool from other types of bacteria, etc. I purchased a kit from target and it was the best purchase I've made!

Yes, they are SO much better than lugging around the bottles of chlorine AND the mess of transporting them and pouring them! Can't tell you how many pieces of clothing I ruined with the liquid! LOL
