I'm looking for someone who can come to my home and tell me what I need to buy to childproof my home. My son is starting to explore more and more. Any people in mind or do these people even exist?

What can I do next?

I don't really know if there are sevices. When I childproof our house I just got down on the ground and saw what my babies could see. The usaully stuff electric plugs and cords, doors to cabinets, blankets or tableclothes that they could pull, bookcase that need to bolted to the wall, books and breakable stuff on lower shelves, toliet covers, knob on doors and stove, the door of the stove and bolting it to the wall, and of course if you have stairs or steps in your house. Hope this helps...

I did pretty much the same as the last post, I tought my son what he could and couldn't mess with. It was hard at first, because he would pull all of my dvd's down, but after he learned it was no big deal. You will be amazed at how quickly they learn what they can't mess with. But you do have to pay attention to them a lot more then you do if you child proof.

I tried looking at babyproofingdirectory.com but there's only one professional service listed, and it's in Austin. Their website is austinbabyproofing.com -- who knows, they may travel to San Antonio.

Also try childproofer.com and http://www.poolfence.com/intro.htm for tips if you wind up having to do it yourself.

Hope this helps!

buy a skateboard and roll around your house. youll be surprised at what you see. start off with all plugs. carpats to trip on. corners on tables to hit heats on. glass tables to break... you get the pick. but keep this in mind and i know this isnt for everyone. i didnt childproof my house. i wanted my kids to learn to respect my stuff as it was. now i had to keep 3 eyes on them at all times until they learned, but its up to you. good luck!
