I don't know about those because I don't have sliding glass doors but I bought most of my childproofing from onestepahead.com
Hi. Does anyone know where to get the gadgets that go on sliding glass doors that beep when they open? They are an actual child safety item, not part of an alarm.
Thanks for any information!
Thanks so much for everyone's responses! I have to say that I love onestepahead.com! It has so much to offer and had exactly what I was looking for. Home Depot and Lowes do not have it.
Thanks again. S.

I am pretty sure I have seen those in Walgreens or try CVS
Hi...I found mine in Wal-mart.
Hello S.,
Go to www.onestepahead.com look on the section for 'safety' they are $9.95 ~ this website/catalog has the coolest gadgets. I have ordered alot from this company in the past.
Hope this helps,

Any hardware store will have all your baby-proofing needs!! Congrats on you little one!
Anything to do with safety and different gadgets.... onestepahead.com LOVE IT!!! Good luck
I think Radio Shack or Home Improvement store.
We bought those at Home Depot...it will either sound an alarm or chime. They are on the hardware aisle if not there I would try looking in the electrical under alarms. It's really hard to find stuff in the Palm Coast Home Depot b/c their shelves are never stocked. If you can't find it there I would try Ormond Beach Lowe's....good luck and it's a great device to have I have 3 escape artists ( 4,2,1 ) and I love that I always know when they've opened a exterior door.
When my son moved to a big boy bed and started getting up on his own in the am I was worried that he might go out the doors. So we installed flip over locks on the top of the regular doors and a very cool lock for the patio door. It is a clear plastic that sticks to the glass, when it is flipped down it is impossible to open that door. I feel safer for my son AND I love the fact that someone can not open that patio door. I worried that I would not hear the little beeper if I was asleep or something. I know you can get childproofing items at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Baby's R Us.

I know Lowe's sells the sets but we got ours at GE.com. The unit beeps when the seal on a door or window is compromised. Check with Lowe's, if you can't find it there, e-mail me and that will give me time to dig up the info and give it to you. ____@____.com Good luck
u could probably try home depot, i know they sell this thing that sticks to the sliding door to keep it from opening, if that is an issue u have. my 21 month old daughter knows how to open sliding doors and since i've bought that thing she hasn't really paid too much attention to the doors anymore
onestepahead.com has one for $9.95. they also have many great child safety products and have excellent customer service. I have purchased many things from them. Good luck
Please let me know when you find it. I went to a funeral for a boy, 20 months old, last week. His mother found him in the pool when she thought that the sliding glass doors would keep him in. Need i say more......
