I am a home day care provider if you would want to run it past me to see if it sounds typical, what she's charging for what she is offering. An in-home child care is less expensive than a center. And generally full time is less expensive per day than part time. Some offer a sibling discount. Home day cares vary a LOT in what they offer. Generally a bit higher than not if they are licensed, are dedicated to working with your child, offer supplies for the children, that kind of thing. More often than not, you get what you pay for with it. Some home day care providers do it because they love it and for some it's not the greatest fit of a job, so look around and find a place you are comfortable with. keep in mind the cost of a center when thinking about how high the price is for home child care. Usually it's still SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than a center. Best wishes in finding a good fit for your family!! :)
