Hey guys! Thanks for your advice about childcare in the Algonquin area. Do any of you have any ideas for childcare that is a little longer than 2.5 hours long? It seems like 2.5 hours isn't long enough for me to get anything accomplished after I drop him off and then get home. I am going to be starting a small business and I was hoping for something from 8-12? Or 9-1? The school he is currently going to in PA is MWF from 9-2:30. But I can't seem to find anything like that there that is not obscenely expensive. Any suggestions? Thanks! E.

Try the YWCA. They usually have a list of daycare providers by area. I think the list cost around $30.00. Home daycares are going to be a lot cheaper. We used to use a home daycare but I was unsatified and had a bad feeling so now my son is in a daycare center. It is much more expensive but he is learning alot and seem much happier.
I am a SAHM to 2 boys. I currently live in Elgin, but we will be moving to Pingree Grove in Jan/Feb. I figured I would throw the option out there for you, in case you ever needed someone to watch your son. I too have a 3 year old, so it would give them each a playmate!!
I am also relocating to schaumburg area and I did some reserch for child care. I suggest to go web site of Arlington Heights park district and look at C.A.P program. or also you can call Action for children tel: ###-###-#### website; www.actforchildren.org. They will send you list of child care center or baby sitter.
Good luck

Hi,
Have you looked into preschools? There are preschools that offer different hour schedules
a.m. 8:30-11:30,
p.m. 1-3
fullday 8a-3p
Look around for preschools private/public. You may find the schedule that works best for you.
