The thing is if he has employer provided insurance he doesn't pay the full amount of the insurance. No court is going to make him pay more just because you want to move. That is your choice.

All he has to do IF court ordered is to provide it. It's up to you to find the docs on the list to go to. You need to call the insurance provider to see where the nearest docs are that take that insurance.

Our court order states if there are medical bills not covered by insurance then the mom and the dad must pay the bills. This was put in so that we would not accrue debt if one of my grand children ran up a bunch of bills for medical treatment.

SO if he's ordered to provide insurance then it's up to you to use it. He can't be forced to pay for health insurance that is more costly than he's already paying because you want to live somewhere else. He's meeting his obligation required by this document.

My granddaughter's father lives in AZ and has BC/BS insurance covering her. She lives in Oregon and his insurance is good here. I had BC/BS insurance in OR and moved to AZ and my insurance continued to cover me in AZ tho the plan was administered in OR. The plans are both preferred provider plans and we just have to use the pp in the state in which we live.

BC/BS has offices all over the United States and covers you where ever you live. Her father just has to notify BC/BS of her new address. If it's thru his employment he goes to the employer's Human Resources office to do this.

You have to check with his insurance company. They will tell you what needs to be done. They may cover you wherever you go, or have a subsidiary/sister company in the other state that may cost him more. Only the insurance company can answer you. My husband supplied insurance for my step daughter at one point and our NY insurance covered her in PA.
