I have a 3yr old little girl who is in gymnastics. They are doing a pageant to raise money... I want my daughter to look nice but don't know what to do for her hair... I have seen the little pageant shows and such and what they do to their hair. Hair spray and curling irons.. isn't this bad for her hair?? I was thinking of a braided do but would that be too weird for a pagent??? Opinions pls!!!

What can I do next?

If her hair is long a French braid would look beautiful. I personally like natural pageants. No fake hair or teeth, just nice hairdo, clothes and a nice personality. That goes a long way.

Curling iron should be ok, I've used them on my daughters hair on special occasions. A braided do would be pretty too, I dont think how her hair will be will be that big of an issue at 3 years old I dont think you can go wrong any way! 3 year olds are just plain cute no matter how you do their hair! Have fun!

I don't think curling it for one occasion will do any harm. If your worried, put in soft curlers that she can sleep in and then use lots of hairspray! Have fun!

If you are that concerned about the heat and chemicals, I would use a fake hair piece! All you have to do is put her hair in a nice tight bun and then put the curly haired fake pony tail on top. You can get them all over, at swap meets and beauty supply stores. It does not sound very cute, but they really do look great. I used to have to use them as a cheerleader when my hair was too short and we all had to look uniformed. Bonus- if her hair is very fine, it might not hold the curl even with heat and products, and this will make her look like she has a lot more hair than she really does!

It depends on what type of hair she has...is it long? fine?

The easiest thing to do is put it in a bun,

First put it in a ponytail, then twist around with a sparkly scrunchy.

Either that or put it in a ponytail, then curl the ponytail.
