Hi J.,
On the ones that were visable I used clear packing tape and taped them flush with the wall at the base of the wall and you can barely see it. They can still see them and can not grap them. Good Luck
My 9 month old son is starting to crawl and it seems like he goes strieght for power cords and starts chewing them. Right now I have pillows lining the walls covering them! Any suggestions?

Hi J.:
It sounds like your son is teething. It really can be painful, when the molars start breaking through. The smaller teeth in front aren't quite as big and they come in A little easier.Just distract him,by giving him something real cold to chew on.He'll soon get his mind off the cords. Right now, they are at eye level when he crawls,so its convenient.Someone once suggested, that in order for adults to better understand how a tot views the world.to get on your knees, and walk around a little like that. You'll notice, that things like TV knobs and stereo dials, cupboards, and the like, are exactly at your child's eye level.(Do you think they put the candy down low at the checkstand, for you? Ha. They put it At a child's eye level for a reason! I wish you and your darlin boy the best. J. M
One thind that comes to mind it to have some "chew toys" on hand. Some teething toy that is appealing to your son. When he looks interested in chewing on the cord you could offer him a teether instead?
How funny! I have the same problem and have been using pillows as well!! All of the couch cushions are on the floor--not that I can sit on it when she's awake anyhow.
Every time I get out the breast pump, or the computer, my daughter immediately will race for the cords. I think the person who suggested a container for the cords was right on (probably not a good idea to put hot sauce on them...)
get the tubes from the hardware store or use pool noodles. Pool noodles are great for babyproofing lots of stuff (corners, tub knows, fireplaces) they are super cheap and easy to put on/take off if baby is gone and you have company and dont want it out.
If possible, hide the cords behind furniture. If not, I used to run all the cords together in an empty paper towel tube. It creates a place for all the cords to be together, and, it is too thick for the baby to put in the mouth. (this is temporary, but, you can buy something similair shape and size, made of plastic at a home impovement store.
Another solution (unsightly, but works), is to run the cords up... over desks and tables, out of reach.
I hope this helps.
Hello, You can go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy clear tubes which you can then put the power cords into and he can't chew on them.
Good luck with your precious son.

if the pillow work-great! We moved furniture-like sofas.
Hi J., Stop reading this email and go create a safe environment for your boy. a pillow will not protect him.
He can never be left alone if this is the "thing" he's into now. Unplug anything that is not in use and stop everything and watch him It won't last forever.
No way to take a chance that he might be electrocuted!!
bye, Deb
When I had puppies that did that, we put hot sauce, like tabasco, on the cords -- that might also work for a baby, but check with your pediatrician about what you can put on them that is safe for a baby.
