I would look at Michaels. They usually have very cheap solid colored shirts. You could even write the Decepticons and Autobots on them or let the kids decorate them if you want to. Good luck.
I am looking for cheap red and purple shirts to give the kids at our birthday party next weekend. red for Autobots and purple for Decepticons. they will battle it out with silly string. any ideas on where to get the shirts at a low price would be very helpful.

You could buy pkgs of t-shirts, then get rit dye and do two separate loads right in your washing machine. It doesn't stain the machine, just prewash the t-shirts without any fabric softener, it blocks the dye from absorbing. Then use your soak setting on the washer with the dye in it - I forgot and did the normal cycle once and ended up with peach instead of orange lol. So double check your cycle.
Have fun!

Hobby Lobby has lots of shirts in different colors, I think about $3 per shirt. You could also consider bandanas in different colors, that might be cheaper
I would check out the dollar stores. you never know what you might find there.
I saw lots of colors of shirts at Hobby Lobby when I had to do a school project in May. You could call there and find out.
Another option would be to get white shirts and decorate them with red or purple. You could do it or have the kids do it.
Make sure the silly string stays outside. I've had personal experience with cleaning that stuff up inside. Not good.
Michaels or Hobby Lobby are usually $2.99-3.99 depending on the size and if they are on sale. You can also print a 40% off coupon online good for one item.
Walgreens has t-shirts 5 for $10 this week. Hobby Lobby regularly runs their short sleeved shirts for half off, which is only $1.50 a piece. Good luck. Sounds fun!
