Cheap and Easy Sewing Patterns?

Google free patterns. You should come up with some pretty easy ones. Here are a few:

You can find SO many patterns for free online! When I am first learning something I like to find tutorials. There are pictures of the steps and great directions. Google pillow case dress tutorial, or whatever it is you want to make. You'll find some great patterns!

i agree that googling tutorials is a great way to start. It's better than patterns because there are step by step picture to show you what to do.

I started with drawstring back pack bags for my kids. that was pretty easy and fun.

I like making pocket tissue holders as gifts, 15 mins.

the directions for the piillowcase dresses are on line too.

I just made a wrap around skirt for my dd's american girl doll that was pretty easy.

personanlly i would start on the internet, patterns can be pretty complicated.

Wait for a sale at Hobby Lobby. They have one or the other brand of patterns on sale each quarter.

McCalls pattern's are on sale this week for $0.99. That is the most reasonable they will every be.

In the next couple of weeks the Simplicity will be on sale if they weren't all ready in the past couple of weeks. They do this sale every 3 months or so.

I suggest you sign up for a basic sewing class at your local fabric store. They're inexpensive and you'll gain knowledge and confidence.

There are inexpensive patterns displayed on the wall or in a turn around. Ask for them at the fabric store. And fabric stores have frequent sales during which the patterns are marked down.

Hi! did you get on JoAnn's mailing list? They often have patterns for 99cents as well. I'd look for you but my daughter must have taken the ad (she's the sewer). Ask around locally for bargain fabric stores. We only buy fabric in JoAnn's when we need something really specific or a tiny piece, the bargain place won't sell less than a yard but at $1.99 its tough to beat! Have fun.
