I love Vaseline. It is fabulous for chapped lips. You only need a little bit, and it works really fast!
I use chap stick not all day but some.
My lips are slightly puffed and have some cheapness around the outter part of my lips.
What can I put on it to help it.
They are not cracked or look sore or painful just can see the outter rim slightly around my lips discolored. I could be allergic to the chap stick. Blistik and eos but have not had this problem before.
yes chapness lol
But they r not cracked they feel blown up
You know how the kids lick around and
It's seen chapped but doesn't sting or hurt n
It actually feels like my lips are heavy.
Weird I know - that's the best I can describe it

Aquaphor is great. Chapstick itself can actually dry out your lips over time. I've found Aquaphor is a great way to remedy dry, chapped, or cracked skin from head-toe.
Without going to my car I am not sure if the name is correct but close enough is Aquafore. I believe by Nivia. Okay I can't spell, sorry, but this stuff works
Oh yeah^^^show off your spelling skills! :p
We have found different Burts Bees chap sticks, help with different chapped lip problems. There are different ones for different problems and situations.
I also agree, you need to drink more water and stay out of the sun (wear a hat) until this clears up.
If they begin to blister, you need to see a dermatologist, it could be more than just chapped lips.
I would stop using the chapstick and use plain petroleum jelly to let them heal.
That's one way my allergies present.
I use Carmax in the tub. I can not use the one in a tube with the red top and sunscreen due to allergies. I also use Burt's Bees but not every type. I mostly use the original or I found the best vanilla bean one at Sprouts. I can not use Chap Stick brand at all. My lips quickly chap and begin to bleed after only a couple uses.
i use lansinoh lanolin.. the kind for breastfeeding mommas. once at bedtime and i am good till the next night.
My favorite is the original Chapstick in the black tube.
I do like Burt's Bees sometimes.
I can't do Blistex products...
Sounds like an allergy so you should talk to your doctor.
I would stop using the chap stick and not try any others until it clears up. And please don't use Vaseline or Aquaphor, you shouldn't put petroleum products in your mouth or digest even the smallest amount.
A lot of people just use the natural oil produced by their skin - rub your finger on your forehead, then on your lips. No allergies. My son does this all the time- a lot of athletes do. It doesn't work if you use makeup, but if it's just your skin and no right after you use moisturizer, it works great.
I have heard there's a rebound effect from Chapstick and similar products. Same as nasal spray.
Another option is a more natural product like Burt's Bees.
My daughter used lip balm all the time and then recently she developed an allergy to cocoa butter. It is in LOT of products, some the note on the package is so small you don't notice it. Finally, I got her a tube of Nivea Honey Milk. It did a great job. Her lips were no longer puffy after a few days and the dryness finally went away. They also have a raspberry shimmer or something like that for a little color. Burt's Bees also has 1 with no cocoa butter but has vitamin E.
I use to have super chapped lips until I started using Burts Bees. It stays on well and lasts a long time
1. Drink water. Lips are often chapped due to dehydration.
2. Stop using Chapstick if you think it's bothering you. During the day, use a lip balm with sunscreen in it.
3. Put triple antibiotic ointment on your lips before you go to bed at night. It works miracles.
I'm not positive what 'cheapness' means....do you mean chapness?
There are so many great lip balms, with and without sunscreens. I use just about everything, but when I have an 'issue' with my lips, dry, cracked, red, puffy, scaly, I use Carmex type products. It always heals my lips quickly.
Also, I'm allergic to many of the sunscreens, like Octinoxate...you might be as well, so try a product without that particular sunscreen and see if it helps any.
On a side medical note, if you don't see improvement with an alternate lip balm, people with low hemoglobin and iron (meaning they're anemic) develop lip sores that are not canker sores, but break through sores. Just a thought to consider, not saying you are. But if your energy levels are low, or you experience heavy menstration, it's a possiblity.
Drink a lot of water every day. Put on a natural chapstick over and over during the day to help while you are healing from the inside out. Out on a natural lotion several times a day. But keep drinking that water. When we lived in New Mexico our son would have this happen to him bc he was not drinking enough. Then he'd start licking his lips and it would make it much worse. Drink drink drink!
Aquaphor. Overnight. Magic.
hello
I have read the pure Coconut oil is good for chapped lips, it not only lubricates, but also sloughs off the dead cells..
I use shea butter or Burt's Bees
blistex and burts bees.

I agree with Tadpole. Lansinoh Lanolin is all natural and totally safe to ingest. I use it periodically for cracked heals, rough elbows, cracked lips, etc...
