We have been looking into this, too, and I wanted to let you know that if you have bad reception in your neighborhood, AT&T may provide a booster to you free of charge. We started this process after a friend (who has Sprint) obtained one. We called AT&T, pointed out we've been customers a long time, and that our neighborhood (which is suburban and SHOULD have decent reception) has terrible coverage, to the point that we have to have a land line at home because our cell phones just don't work. Anyway, they put our request in their system, and although it took a few weeks for them to decide, they did finally notify us that they will be providing a cell booster to us free of charge. Yay!
