Does anyone use a cellular signal booster in their home? We only had 1-2 bars to begin with and now that we've added radiant barrier to the roof - that equals no bars. There are so many boosters to choose from and they are very expensive. I would like some feedback from personal experiences with this type of product.

-AT&T is our cell provider
-2,400 sq. ft home
-4 cell phones - 2 of them smart phones

Thank you for your time!

So What Happened?

I bought the AT&T MicroCell. I tried to get it for free but that did not work. I now have 5 full bars - this is awesome!

We have been looking into this, too, and I wanted to let you know that if you have bad reception in your neighborhood, AT&T may provide a booster to you free of charge. We started this process after a friend (who has Sprint) obtained one. We called AT&T, pointed out we've been customers a long time, and that our neighborhood (which is suburban and SHOULD have decent reception) has terrible coverage, to the point that we have to have a land line at home because our cell phones just don't work. Anyway, they put our request in their system, and although it took a few weeks for them to decide, they did finally notify us that they will be providing a cell booster to us free of charge. Yay!

My grandparents received a free one from AT&T. They are in a bad coverage area, even though I get great reception down the road. They have a ranch and it's set up in the family room. We are able to get reception when where in that area of the house, but then it's gets sketchy if you're a couple rooms away. It helps my grandparents, so it appears to be worth it.

We bought one for $384 and have yet to put it on. I don't know how it will turn out but we're hopeful it will be good. We have no signal now, even a few bars is an addition.
