Cell Phone Spam/scam? Anyone Know What to Do or What to Be Aware Of?

You can block that number. Go to a retailer shop, and they will show you how to block that number; and any other number you decide you want to block. It is very annoying when people do that. I keep getting some lady calling my phone looking for her niece. I keep telling her; I'm sorry, but your niece has not had this number for over a year now. I feel bad; but when someone I don't know is callin me at 3:30 in the morning; I have a serious problem with that. I hope that you are able to get your situation cleared up soon!

Call your cell phone company and ask if it is possible to block that number from texting you? I don't know what kind of information that they could possibly access by texting you but then who knows...the kids these days are so technologically savvy!!!

Now that you mentioned it, I did got a weird text one time.
When I fist respond I did without even noticing it was a estranger, I only get text from my husband and my daughter (sad!) so I didn't even look the name and I reply. The person ask: Do you get this? and I say "yes, why?" and he said something like:"freaking amazing, now I know I can text from China" or something like that.
At that point I notice it wasn't my husband and I thought it was a mistake so I reply you got the wrong person, and that was it.
I some times get other text from this person but I haven't reply again.
I wonder if this is another scam or something, like did you ever got those annoying calls about the car insures? I think they only stop when a politician start getting them too, lol.

www.fcc.gov go to the website and report it. It doesn't cost you anything but the texter can get fined or worse.

If you don't know how to do it......go to your cell phone carrier and have them block the number.

Don't respond to text, etc from anyone you don't know.
