My contract will expire soon with my t-mobile and I'd like to switch to a plan that is cheaper for we don't use our cell phones very often. Right now we have 1000 minutes and we usually use anywhere from 300-500 min a month. Any other plans out there you guys recommend like metro pcs?
Thanks

We don't use a plan. I have had an AT&T Go Phone for about 4 years now & love it. You pay as you go & can add money whenever you need to. Sometimes I spend $25/month if I don't want to talk to anyone :-) and other times I spend between $50 - $75 if I'm feeling a little more chatty. Also, I have Skype on my computer so any calls that I need to make that I know I will be on hold for a while I use that so as not to waste my minutes. I don't text much either so that's not an issue with me. The coverage is awesome also, I pretty much have signal everywhere. Hope you find one that will be a good fit for you.

Do you have more than one phone that you are using? Just wondering because it makes alot of difference in what you would be looking at. Have you called t-moble to see if they have a better plan to suite your needs. We have had them for over 4 years and have always been very helpful in adding to or changing our plans as they need to better fit our needs. They will do this anytime during your contract period.

The thing to watch for with Metro PCS they are a regional phone only. This meaning if you get a contract here in DFW that is the only place you have service.

Be sure and compare all your useage texting, pictures, long distance, do you travel.
It doesn't take but one trip out of town to wash all your savings down the drain.

Good Luck,

I have no idea what your T-Moblile plan is right now money wise and/or features.

My daughter and I are on the family plan with AT&T. I know our minutes are set too high (we don't use them)....however I do pay an extra $30/month for the unlimited texting, etc which includes both of us. We both have I-phones from April 08, which include an extra $20 per month per I-Phone on data package (required). We do use the cells for personal at home and long distance majority. Our home lines by AT&T are very basic and the only calls that go through them are solicitors.

My bill is about $180/month and I know it could be less if I switched minutes to lesser minutes. We do not use minutes as much as we use text. Think about that aspect.

Hope this gives you a reasonable $ for some monthly spending on cells.

We have been with at&t (cingulair) for almost 9 years if not longer. We are on a family plan with 45 phones and each phone bill is about $20.00 each. We dont have very many problems with them either!

Hi,
Our family switched from Sprint to AT & T this past spring. It has been better for us and fewer problems with being disconnected and better reception in various places.
