Of course bring one for the teacher, we are human and get hungry too.
We have asked my son's teacher if we can celebrate his birthday at school and yes we can. He will turn 4, and his class is 150 minutes. This is my idea of what I will bring to school :
Cupcakes ( do we also need to give the teachers or the class only? Because usually in Indonesia, we also give the teachers)
Yumearth organic candy( two for each kid, or one is enough?)
1 veggie tray
Juice pouches for each kid OR Lemonade OR Caprisuns
A book for class library
I am not sure which one of those above I must bring? Does it mean if we say that we will celebrate then the teachers expect us to prepare the whole snack or they will still prepare the snack and I only bring complementary snack?
What will we do in the class usually? Singing happy birthday, blow candles and say prayer or we just eat the snacks right away? Do we need to give a goodie bag, too?what is it usually?
Thanks moms.

You need to check on the school policy and teacher preference for the party. Also find out how long the teacher is planning to allow for the celebration. Some schools do not allow cookies or cupcakes (in the interest of eating healthy) Some require that they be store bought and sealed (due to food tampering and having an ingredient label) Ask if there are any food allergies that you should know about. You should plan on supplying the treat for all students and teacher(s?) I think that a book for the class library is a good idea.
At my son's public daycare any treat or snack that was brought in was given during normal afternoon snack time. I would send in mini vanilla cupcakes and juice boxes or a large bottle of juice and cups. Not capri son. They make more of a mess. Vanilla cake because it is less messy than chocolate.
They would sing 'Happy Birthday' and then dig in. Any goody bags, if we brought them - it was not necessary- were placed in the kids cubbies for when they went home. I always kept the goody bags simple. Some crayons and paper, a few pieces of candy. Some moms would go WAY OVER THE TOP. It became this little game of '1 up'.
If you do cupcakes do a light icing like white or yellow. Again this causes less mess. Also, skip any toppers like rings or picks. This causes fights among the kids because Billy got a red one and Becky wanted it.
Be sure to ask the teacher what the guidelines for outside food are. Some schools have policies about food being store bought, nut-free, etc.
You need to ask the teacher what is done. Ask how they usually do this. In my experience the parent brings one treat. Today the treat has to be store bought. And yes, bring enough for the teachers. It's important to consult with the teachers about allergies so that you can provide something for everyone. No goodie bags. The teachers have always planned for a short period of time for this; usually 30 minutes or so.
You had better ask the teacher. At our school we just send the treat to school, and the teacher hands it out. I normally send one for the teacher as well. It isn't a party, just a single treat handed out to the students at recess. We've done cupcakes in the past, but lately my boys have opted to bring giant freezies because their birthdays are when it is hot out (they keep the freezies in the freezer in the teachers lounge until recess).
It depends on the school, and you can ask them. But usually you bring all the snacks - and they cannot be home made, but have to be bought and wrapped individually by the store. You usually only have time for the snacks - not a party. You usually do not bring a book for the library. Many schools do not allow prayers... and some do not allow candles. No goodie bags, usually.
Store bought/packaged cupcakes and something to drink.
Definitely no snack bags or prayers!
