Any suggestions a bathroom ceiling heat that really works and is fairly cost efficient?

What can I do next?

We just replaced ours with the Nutone from Home Depot. It has a fan/light/ and heater combo. The heater can be directed to different places by tilting the circle part of the cover. It forces the air down. It was a little over 200, but it puts out the heat, is much quieter, and uses a real 100 watt bulb so we can finally read on the throne. Everyone is getting them after I tell them how our all tile bathrroms are finally warm enough.
We also have a Nutone undercabinet toe kick heater due to tile floors. It only heats up right in front of the sink area and at the floor level. It was $79.
I don't recommend it.

I put a heat light in my bathroom along with the vent fan. It doesn't warm up the whole bathroom, but it helps take off that chill you get when you step out of the shower. I don't recall how much it was, but I got it at Home Depot. I'm sure it was less than $50.

Unless you have no other place to put a heater don't put it in the ceiling. Heat rises. When you place a heater high the room will get warm above your head but your feet will remain cold. Better to place the heater near the floor.

My grandmother's house had one of these and it was wonderful! That being said, I think they are energy hogs and I don't think many people install them anymore.

We just use a space heater on the bathroom countertop. That way we can put it away when the weather warms up again.
