We have a newer town house, anyway what is good to keep my tubs and showers white. We have hard water and don't have a water softner. The tubs and showers are looking a little yelow, probably from the hard water. We really don't like water softeners, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks great Mom's A.

So What Happened?

I have used the magic eraser before and it helps. I do have the works for the toilet, didn,t know they had a spray. I will buy it thank you everyone. Here's a short story about the works, I thought if the toilet bowel cleaner works so well in toilets maybe it will work on faucets, don't do it. I had to have my faucet replaced because it ate through the metal. Luckily I have a good husband and he didn't throw me out of the house, he he! Thanks Again you guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister swears by the extra strength Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I haven't remembered to buy it so I all I have is second hand knowlege....

BTW any rumors about it having hazardous chemicals and being banned from stores are false (you can check it out on snopes.com).

My cleaning ladies recommended that I use Dawn for it. They said it easily takes everything off and leaves it super clean! If you need to, try a scrubber sponge with it. Then rinse!

"The Works" it is the best thing for hard water scum... BIT toxic turn on the fan spray and leave the room for 10 min then rinse well!!! I use it once a month to get the grunge out and then use simple green the rest of the week! I live in the country and have well water and a septic system. I have tried just about everything and it seems to work the best.

We have really hard water and rust. The only thing that takes the stains out of the sinks, showers and toilets and even in the dishwasher is "The Works". The product is inexpensive. They have a spary shower/sink formula and a toilet cleaner as well. I usually can find it at Meijers and Walmart and Dollar General. The Magic Eraser works well, but It is cheaper for me to use the "The Works" Products due to the severity of our water problems and the amount of bathrooms we have.

I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for the first time the other day to clean my tub. I was TOTALLY impressed! I had soap scum that I wasn't able to get off with Comet or Scrubbing Bubbles. The Magic Eraser took care of it no problem! Not sure if it would work for your issue, but it sure helped me! Good luck!
