SAS has very strict rules on the carseats used on board. I have a 2 year old in a Britax Marathon and according to SAS, the height of the carseat can not exceed 18 inches.

Has anyone flown SAS with a toddler carseat? and if so, what brand?

Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I have never flown to denmark, or with this airline, but we just came back from the Uk, and I didn't take my car seat on the plane. In fact I hired a car seat with my hire car, if you go with Hertz they have britax car seats.
If I hadn't have done that, I would have checked my car seat for sure, taking them on the plane, to me is a big pain in the bum.
my daughter is 2, and sat in the seat just fine, kept her seat belt on, we had turbulence, but there is never so much that a regular lap belt won't work.

I have done a lot of flying with my kids and never taken a carseat on board. I don't think the danger of them getting hurt from turbulence is that likely, esp. if you keep the seatbelt on them. They are more comfortable without the carseat and lugging it around in the airport is a hassle.

I flew with my 2 year old in July and didn't use a car seat at all. I didn't see any reason for it on the plane and it was just another bulky item I would need to carry around. Unless of course you need one once you get to your destination. We ended up renting one from the rental car place and got to pick which one we wanted from there to be sure it was safe and fit our son.

I'm curious about this, too, though we are not flying the same airline. Did you call them to discuss?

We will have a 2 yr old and are bringing her own seat (a Marathon) because we will be changing cars in different cities and do not want to play the "was this seat damaged by someone else and they didn't report it" game.

If you checked your seat, did you do so with your baggage or did you do it at the gate? Did you put it in any special case or bag?
