Once you have a baby you've got to give up on a few things. I've found that long hair is one of them. Could you please let me know where (preferably somewhere in New Tampa area) I can sell the braid.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the replies. It is a great idea to donate for sick children. Thanks for the website address.
PS Angela, I may regret about it too but can't help it. I do not need to get rid of them.

I don't know where you can sell your braid, but some salons will give you a free haircut if you donate your braid to Locks of Love. They are a group who make wigs for kids with alopeica, or have other hair loosing problems. My neice got a free haircut at Great Clips for donating.

Why sell it? You can donate it to Locks of Love. My daughter had her hair cut at Beyond Hair and they participate in the program. They make wigs for children that suffer hair loss due to different diseases.

I wacked my hair when my 1st child was 3 months told – I couldn’t stand it either! I went to Shepre Hair Studio in New Tampa (Cross Creek) and Sheila, the owner, cut my hair for free because I was donating it to Locks of Love. You might want to call to see if she will still do it (10311 Crossing Creek Boulevard, ###-###-####).

Check out the Locks of Love web site: http://www.locksoflove.org. You’ll have to mail the hair to them, but it is so worth it!

N. I'm not sure where you can sell the braid because I am new to Tampa, but if you don't desperatly need the money I would like to ask you to consider going online and looking for one of the cancer sites that actually ask for donated hair. I am hoping someone will see this reply and let you know where to look. I have heard of it but since I cut all of my hair off a while back I don't have any to donate but think it is an awesome idea. Maybe you could find out what the braid is worth, donate instead, and use it for a tax writeoff in the donation section of your taxes (be sure to get the tax id number) Just a suggestion. A.

Hello N.,

I've cut my long Hair after my son was 6 month old and frequently grabed it to pull it out of my Ponytail.
Big mistake !!!! He is seven now and my Hair still hasn't grown back to it's original beauty. Think it over before you cut.
