Has anyone been able to successfully get candle wax spills out of clothing?? If so, what method did you use?

What can I do next?

Put a brown bag or even paper toweling, couple sheets thick, over the wax, iron the stain a med temp. You can normally see when the wax absorbs into the paper. Move the paper, go over it again until you have removed all the wax that can be absorbed. Launder as usual but use Resolve prior to throwing the item in the washer. This works on carpet also but you must have the iron on a low temp, hot enough to melt the wax but not the carpet.

Ditto for what Mary said. However, instead of Resolve, I just use Dawn dish detergent and scrub it in with an old tooth brush to remove the oil stains.

Oil remover or oil stain removing techniques once you've gotten the wax out... what's left is the oil.

Citrus-based solvents (Citrasolve) work perfectly. Apply undiluted to wax, tree sap, or other oil-based stain, then agitate it with a brush or just scrub the fabric together with your hands, rinse in hot water. Sometimes it helps to let the solvent soak a while for old set in oil stains. I use this to clean my candle votives too, it just melts the wax away so that it will wash off with water. These cleaners also have a really pleasant orange scent.
