will the cream cheese do somesthing funky when it thaws??
im not sure whats in it someone else made it chicken HOT sauce and cream cheese or sourcream or something like that I was worried about it separating or something. just trying not to be wastefull.
YES - I froze a buffalo chicken dip a few months back. It was in the freezer for a month or so. I took it out one day for company, microwaved it. It was like I just whipped it up. No problem. So yes it will be fine!!!

If it contains mayonnaise you cannot freeze it. Cream cheese breaks up when frozen. I've tried freezing cream cheese and it did not work. But with the other ingredients freezing might be OK. There may be enough of the other ingredients to blend it back in.
You really need to know the ingredients to know if it'll freeze well. I googled this and found a couple of recipes had mayonnaise but most did not. The rest had cream cheese. A couple also had ranch dressing. Ranch dressing, I think, contains mayonnaise.
You could freeze a small amount, thaw it and see how it turns out before freezing all of it.
Now I'm hungry for some of this dip. It sounds delish.

I have never had any success at freezing cream cheese - it separates and comes out in clumps.
But I'm sure there is a way....I would google it and find out what cooks.com or recipes.com says.
