Its been one of those weeks...and I only ate 1/2 the bag of Cheetoes...I really could easily have eaten the whole thing in one sitting but so proud I didn't. =)
I need to brag to someone and you all are it. I'm so excited to be starting on a career path that was deferred 20 years ago. This new path, I hope, will be more compatiable with my family's schedule and bring professional enjoyment. I've worked very hard to find an unconventional way to get a foot in the door and ITS WORKING!! (crossing my fingers and toes as I write this so not to jinx myself).
What are you most proud of today or this week? Not just your kids but something personal that you've done and achieved. Below is a link to a similiar question asked several months ago. I loved the positive nature of her question.

My son got 19th place at the Illinois High School Association state cross country meet this year!!!! He is an all-state athlete and was also awarded State Scholar award. He is currently being recruited by several great colleges and got a 28 on his ACT. Ok, there, I'm done. I feel funny bragging but I have an excuse since you asked, lol!
I'm proud of MzKitty! I've never eaten just 1/2 a bag of Cheetos. Always the whole thing.
I'm not really "proud" but very happy. I cleaned out my dresser this past Sunday, and found a pair of earrings I have been missing since a vacation 5 years ago. I was sure they were lost, but I don't usually lose things so I was hoping I had just misplaced them. I had. What a great feeling to find them!
No sure if proud but:
I am glad I finish unpacking, that I was able to answer more then 100 post on here AND still helping my oldest to study, make dinner, play with the toddler (the house didn't make so well this week tho), and probably the biggest but is not over yet so I can be totally happy is that I am the closest that I have ever being to get full custody of my oldest to a father that has never give a dime and care to even write her a letter in 13 years, sucks that is being this long but finally I got the first paper sign so waiting for him to get serve and hopefully soon being able to go forward.
I scratched a $50 lottery ticket that cost me $5. Woo-hoo!
i am proud of my daughters. nothing else matters to me. yes, we make a pretty good and close family, yet it's because of them.
J.,
Congrats to you!!!! It sounds like you have worked so hard to get this achievement--Bravo!!!
As for bragging---I haven't been able to brag about my kids-so I have to a little. I am so proud of my son who is 5 who is a huge risk-taker. He can climb like its nothing up any tree, pole etc. He can climb up the rope at his school and ring the bell at the top--some of the 5th and 6th graders can't even do that. :) He can climb up the fire poles and is such a daredevil. I love it. It reminds me of what I used to do when I was little. I am so proud of my kiddos and my 2 year old is always suprising people when he talks. He can speak clearly and accurately like a 5 or 6 year old. He is super smart! So...thanks for letting us brag a little. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful, loving, talented children!

I am proud to be the mom of two Eagle Scouts. My youngest has his Court of Honor this Saturday.
I am proud that with 9 years between my sons..they are very close. My older son was out-of-state Tues-Th this week, & actually told his Gma that he missed his brother.
While he was gone, I ran into some of his friends. I started telling them about my younger son making District Honors Band....& they already knew. My older son had already shared the news. For a toughy, kickass 24yo, he's awful danged proud of his little brother!
When my younger son hits home, one of his 1st questions is where his brother is.....so it's a 2way street. Love that they are able to share their love. !!
Also danged proud of my younger son...working toward Eagle Scout & made, as I said, District Band. Only freshman to do so from our school!
Now to flip back to the parameters on your question: what personal achievement am I proud of? Late last night, I realized I had a coupon for Shutterfly which expired at midnight. In a very short time, I created a photo book for my Gma's 91st BD. I am particularly proud of the text on the last few pages: "In times together....& times apart, Love is what we carry in our hearts". On the "together page", I have pics of mommas & babies. On the "times apart", I have solo shots. On the "Love is" page, I have couples &/or cousins hugging. & finally on the last page, I have all hug shots. The flow & dynamics is incredible, & represents our family so well! :)
I teach classes to other family child care providers and I'm proud that I can give them ideas that can help them be happier in their jobs and more effective as providers!
