I need some help on how credit hours and clock hours work for a technical college. I been a stay at home mom for the last 6 years and I never got the chance to go college after highschool due to having my kids and enjoyed being a stay at home mom for the time. I feel like now might be a good time to go to school due to having my two of my kids in school and one at home. I been thinking on doing CNA just for the fact that I like working and helping people out. I know alot of people told me that CNA is a HARD job and the pay isn't that great and so on. I also feel like it something easy and that if I don't like it go back for patient care technician. Just so many decisions and I been stress out for the fact that I may go and not finished due to things popping up and so on. The CNA class at my technical college saying its a 5 credit hours and 155 clock hours. Someone told me it might be 6 weeks up to 3 months before I get done. I need some underdstanding........ So any feedback would be great!!

What can I do next?

Clock hours means it is 155 hrs of instruction time

Credit hours means you will earn 5 credits towards the program
for example if you need 15 credits to get the degree you will earn 5 and have 10 more credits you will need.

I suspect it may vary from school to school. You should call the school and get their response and clear understanding prior to registration. Best wishes.
