Can Putting My Son on Gentlease Mess up His Digestive System in the Future?

He does not have bad gas or fussiness, we were given bottles of gentlease and don't know if I should use it if he does not have problems. It was given to me by my pediatrician.

What can I do next?

If it ain't broke then don't fix it!
If he's not having gas issues, I wouldn't bother with giving him the Gentlease.

If it's lactose reduced, then I think you should check with your pediatrician before giving it to him if he's not lactose intolerant .. or other digestive issues. I just wouldn't restrict or alter his diet unless it's recommended. I think that variety is given in special circumstances for babies with upset tummies and usually because there's an underlying issue (I'm not an expert). So he may be missing out on some nutrient these other babies can't absorb that your son needs. I wouldn't personally.

Do not switch formulas without talking to your pediatrician first. I would say - if it's not broken, don't fix it. In other words, stick with what he's on now and don't switch just because you have a free sample.
