You need to check with either your doctor or a pharmacist.

I would try something else....
Ask the Pharmacist...

Or go to a Whole Foods or natural food store and ask them.

Personally, I take "Hyland's Calms Forte-for adults." It is a Homeopathic tablet... which helps for stress and calming... because it is homeopathic, it will either work or not, depending on the person.
You can read the reviews of it on Amazon.
It is not a sleep "aide" but something for stress etc. I use it for PMS.

Again, I am NOT suggesting YOU use this... just saying what I use.
I do not have Diabetes. So I don't know what you can or cannot take.

You probably do not need a "mood support" thing... but just something for "stress."

Also, to help stress and sleep better... exercise is always good... and good for Diabetics. My Dad, was Diabetic. Exercise helps to sleep... and is relaxing and reduces stress.

all the best,
Susan

There are several herbal sleep remedies that contain Melatonin....a natural sleep enhancer that is non-addictive and non-narcotic. It really does work. I understand that you have diabetes and because of that, you should always run a new drug by your doctor first, even if it's an herbal remedy. You have a special need with having diabetes in that you can't afford for your insulin levels to tank and for your glucose levels to become unstable. A lot of medicines and even herbs tamper with everything from blood pressure to blood sugar. There are also short-term meds that your doctor can give you which will not affect your diabetes at all and that are non-habit forming. Sleep is so precious and important....I want you to feel better so if I were you, I really would consider asking your doctor for help. That's what they get paid for and they do have your best interests at heart...or they SHOULD!

I believe you should ask the doctor. Explain to the doctor that you do not want anything long term and perhaps (it sounds like to me) that you want to not take prescription but something more natural. Hopefully your doctor will understand.
