Did you see the long ingredient list? It's all processed stuff! And one of the ingredients is sucralose, which is a chemical sweetener also sold under the Splenda brand name. Why in the world would you think this is safe for a child? It's being investigated as unsafe for adults too.

You need to give your child real food. In my opinion, no one in the family should be drinking these heavily processed shakes loaded with chemicals.

You can talk to your pediatrician and perhaps a nutritionist but I'm sure they will tell you to give her real, whole foods.

I wouldn't waste my money on these things. And it doesn't matter if she likes them - kids (and adults) like lots of things that are bad for them.

You would be better off making her smoothies. Just use yogurt, some ice, and fruit. Much healthier for her. If she likes the chocolate flavor use chocolate yogurt or a little cocoa powder and frozen bananas for the fruit.

I'm assuming this is a "real" question. Just because your 2 yo "love" something doesn't mean you just give it to them. At 2 they should be eating "real food", not supplements made for adults.

My initial gut reaction is to say no. Children this age need real food, not shakes. Those shakes are make with adult nutrition needs in mind, not children's nutritional needs. It's lways best for children to get their calories and nutrients through fruits, veggies dairy and otter foods instead of artificial means. Have you read the ingredient list on those shakes? It's not good. Stick with real food. It's much healthier.

You might want to ask your doctor about this if you have further questions.

I wouldn't even put that in MY mouth, no way a kiddo would have it in theirs.

This is a question for your child's pediatrician. Take the container with you and show it to the ped so he or she can see the ingredients.

Your 2 year old should be eating meat, vegetables and fruits. She should also be getting milk so she gets enough calcium. If you feed her a varied diet of healthy foods, she doesn't need supplements.

I haven't read the ingredients on those. If the ingredients are good, then OK. If there are chemicals and sweeteners, no.
