Hi R.-
I'm not sure what type of birth you're interested in (natural, medicated, and/c-section) but there are a ton of births on You Tube. They are great to watch to psyched up for what you're about to do!
Good luck & congrats!

Hi I'm looking for a dvd on childbirth and/or taking home baby for first time? Can anyone recommend one? Any thoughts on Laugh and learn about childbirth by Sheri Bayles.....?

I agree with Michelle R - L&L was cheesey and slightly annoying, but boy did my husband and I think it was 10x better than going to a class in person spending 3 hours for 4 or 6 weeks or whatever your local class entails.
I got the Laugh and Learn and found it helpful, and fairly funny. My husband hated it, but he would have felt that way about any childbirth video.
I hope it all goes smoothly. Enjoy the little one.
I watched Laugh & Learn for each of my daughters' birth. Kind of annoying, low-tech and actually pretty useful.
I bought the Laugh & Learn (3) disk set. I'm 39 weeks along so I can't tell you if it was helpful but it seemed very affordable and I have gone back to re-watch segments. The thought of paying over $300 to sit through classes in hopes of retaining the information was not appealing to me. I agree, it was a little cheese and could get annoying at times but it was very informative and worked with our schedules. Do check with your doctor about aligning with the methods taught in the series, some of them may not be available to you.
