Cameras from Costco

Does anyone have opinions on the Sony Cybershot, Nikon Coolpix, or Samsung (forget name)? The Sony and Nikon are approx. $160, and the Samsung is closer to $200.

My main concern is having a decent zoom, and the ability to take action shots, or shots that are immediate with no delay.

Any thoughts on these cameras?

Thanks.

All fairly decent cameras for a low price, depends on the model of course. Obviously, they are going to have some lag with fast action time and not SLR quality zoom and such. You can go online and read reviews on them. I usually check out amazon.com cnet.com or even bestbuy.com

I got the Nikon D3100 package from Costco. I think it was around $800 but well worth it. I bought it because we were going to Italy and last years trip to Europe, well the pictures were disappointing. It came with two lenses, one wide one telephoto, did HDMI movies, had editing software built into the camera, it has point and shoot settings for everything including low light without a tripod.

Hum, can you tell I love this camera?

Nikon Coolpix - the zoom is good, however, it's not good for action shots. There's a huge delay.

Spend the extra money and get a better camera. It's worth it. Check out panasonic luminex models.
