Hi Ladies,
I seem to break cameras constantly. I was wondering if they have one that is more durable than others? One that takes being droped or squashed.

What can I do next?

i actually had the olympus that is water and shock proof, i sat on it when i was pregnant last year and it broke!!! did wonders for my self image...
anyway, i got it to work again by opening the cover and returning it (the screen stopped working) but when we went to Hawaii my husband thought it would be a good idea to jump off of a cliff into the water with it and it broke again, in a different way, now it is no longer waterproof! and the screen is all messed up again :(

we have had canon and kodak cameras as well and both of them broke, i plan on trying fujifilm and nikon.
i am a film major and i have four kids so i need to find a good sturdy camera!!
please let me know if you get any good refrences

olympus makes one that is shock proof, can withstand a large weight, and is water proof.

I think you might do very well with one of the 'underwater' cameras. They are very durable, and they are, of course, water proof. I have the same 'breaking and dropping' problem too....mine, because of severe arthritis. Good luck!

Yes, fisher price makes it.

You don't mention what type of camera you use. DSLR or digital point and shoot? Maybe you just need a new camera and a nice case.

I just bought the Olympus Stylus Tough-6020. It is dust proof, shock proof, water proof and freeze proof. So far so good. I have only had it for 5 days but I have already been able to test out the shock proof. I took it hiking with me and my 3 boys and it got knocked around quite a bit. It actually has a few scratches on it already. I let my 3 year old take pictures and he banged it up a bit but it is still working with no problems. I bought the bright orange floating wrist band to go with it and that keeps it on my wrist nice and tight without falling off.
