Callused Feet

My feet have been this way for 20 years. Scraping them, pedis, creams, pedi egg, nothing helps. Should I see a dermatologist or podiatrist? My DH's are as smooth as my baby's feet. Help!

What can I do next?

It's really common.
Do you wear socks much or do you go barefoot a lot?
Wearing socks helps keep your feet soft.

First you need to exfoliate the dead skin.
Soaking them in warm water with some vinegar and Epsom salts (till your feet are totally water logged) will soften the dead skin, then take a foot rasp and rub it off.

If you want, you can try a chemical peel - something called Milk Foot:

Follow instructions, then wait about 5 days - you'll notice the dry skin start to flake off.
If you then soak your feet as described above - the dead skin easily peels off like a snake shedding it's skin.
It's painless and so easy.

After that, use your favorite lotion or foot cream to moisturize on a regular basis.
Your feet will feel great for several months.

When I had foot surgery, my doctor made me soak 3 minutes in ice water, 3 minutes in hot water x3. My feet were like brand new.

I saw a podiatrist and he told me to get pedicures until they were smooth and use feet lotion nightly.

I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and bought callous remover and a cheese grater looking tool. You apply the remover, wait 10 mintues, and scrape it off. Repeat twice on same day but do not make them bleed or go too deeply.

see a podiatrist-in the meantime, go to the drug store and pick up a bottle of castor oil-put this on your feet every night-put socks on over to keep the oil from getting on the linens-do this every night-you will be amazed!

Mine are too, but I go barefoot as often as I can... I figure that is the reason......

I'd see a podiatrist to start.

My feet get really dry especially in the summer. I love AVON's footworks pedi peel. It doesn't work overnight, but each pad you use make your feet soother. I combine it with a pumice stone and bam, smooth feet.
