S.,
I have a four year old son, 2 year old daughter and almost 5 mo. old baby girl. With my son, I drank little to no caffeine. I was a first time mom and very paranoid about my intake. With my 2nd, I drank 2-3 cups per week. Now, with my third, I usually drink 2-3 cups per day. My third has been the fussiest baby of all and I have no idea if it is related to my caffeine intake. However, I have noticed within the last month that she is a much calmer and happier baby and I have not cut back on coffee. I wish I knew the answer to this question! I actually had a terrible time getting all my kids to sleep during the first few months of their lives, so you may want to give it a little more time. I would like to keep my coffee intake at two cups per day. For myself, I feel like this is reasonable. I try to keep it to one cup in the morning and then I drink another cup around 3pm in the afternoon. But most of the time, I am still drinking 2 cups in the morning. Sorry, this is probably more information than you needed. I also drank about two cups per day during this last pregnancy. I wish I could give you a solid answer on this one.
Best Wishes!
