Does anyone know which month of the year typically has the lowest LP (propane) prices?

Our tank is low, and we're trying to decide whether to fill it or just add to it and wait until summer to fill it.

What can I do next?

Otherwise--summer can be best. But very little variance all year long really...

Wait as long as you possibly can. Ours was filled to 70% a few weeks ago and it was well over $1000, for 70%. Our governor is investigating the propane industry for price gouging evidently it's something that is happening all over.

I am assuming you mean liquid propane. Based on that, I would think it would be just like the best time to service my furnace would be June or July since the later months get busy and everyone needs the gas. Of course, the gas price is high no matter when because gas prices overall are high. I looked it up and one guy suggested negotiating a long term if you can. Don't quite know what that mean but I would guess you do?

I buy propane year round and the price is always the same, until it goes up, then it stays the same, then goes up. It would be foolish to have them top it off because they will always charge for the fill, they do not charge by the gallon or any measure like that.

Oh our local Ace hardware has a three fills get one free.

Oh yes, are you talking about your house or a BBQ? I would imagine for a house they will charge more during the winter because you need it more. Kind of like our natural gas company. The price just went up but they promise it won't go up again until late fall, charming. :-/
