Most the time I use Bisquik and mix it up with buttermilk.
I also use buttermilk with pancake/waffle mixes.
Using buttermilk makes for lighter/fluffier results.

Oh this is one of the few foods I truly miss after eliminating dairy and grain from my diet! I found this recipe a few years ago and it is *the* buttermilk biscuit recipe:

I never have buttermilk so I add a tablespoon of vinegar to a cup of milk 15 minutes before I start this recipe to make the buttermilk.

smitten kitchen (a food blog) has a good, easy recipe. Google "smitten kitchen buttermilk biscuit." She also has a recipe for cream biscuits, so be sure to include the buttermilk in your search.

Honestly I dont have one, BUT.. I just watched "martha bakes" and she made buttermilk biscuits that looked really good and simple... I think you can get her FREE recipes via martha bakes.. I haven't baked a lot, but to me, her recipe looked very easily accomplished.. she did savory, plain and a cobble with biscuits, instead of crumble.. looked so yummy !!

good luck
