Aloe is what I have always used.
You need to get the heat out first. Vinegar and water to get the "hot" out. and then apply ointments.
Good luck.
I am a blow dry and curling iron girl. Every day that I was my hair I follow up with a good blow out and loose curls from a big barreled curling iron, it's my look so not using them (the curling iron specifically) is not an option. In the past two months I have dropped the hot curling iron twice and caught it with my BODY. The first time it landed on my hip (i was wearing shorts and a tank top getting ready to go out) and then yesterday morning (dressed the same) I fumbled and it landed on the top of my chest (right boob, you can see it over a v-neck t-shirt). Both times it happened I swear it only touched my skin for a fraction of a millisecond, its not like I let it sit there and cook for a minute, I was still moving trying to jump out of the way but it definitely got me good and left a mark each time.
The burn on my hip never blistered, just reddish purple in appearance, hot to the touch for a few days and then dry and flakey as the dead skin fell off. It is slowly fading, I'm using mederma to help the mark fade and slathering sunblock to avoid sun damage. I need help for the new burn. Right now I'm slathering it in vitamin e oil and letting it 'breathe'. It is a little darker and redder than the burn on my hip and there is a small blister. I'm not popping it and will let it do it's own thing.
Do you guys have any recommendations for creams, ointments, potions, etc., that help burns heal without infection, quickly and maybe reduce scarring? I am fair skinned and stay out of the sun so I know eventually it will fade but I'd like to prepare it as best as possible. I remember as a child my mom using silverdene but that was a prescription from my doctor and this isn't bad enough to warrant that.
All your feedback is much appreciated, thank you ladies! Pain isn't an issue any longer, I'm just looking for things to apply that prepare the skin to heal as best possible.

I have an Aloe Vera plant growing in my yard. When I get a burn I cut part of a leaf off, peel back the skin and rub the inner part on my burn or cut or where ever I'm hurting. If we go on vacation to a beach or lake, I take an entire leaf with me for sun burns or cuts. When we leave I give any left overs to fellow travelers.
I got a bad sunburn (missed a patch with the sun screen). My wife applied some aloe vera and the pain lessened almost immediately and it healed up quick too.
I bought my aloe vera plant at the grocery store in a small 4" pot. Its now about 3 feet tall and I water and fertilize it so I know its organic.
Good luck to you and yours.
Aloe Vera.
The actual plant.
You break off the leaf, take off the skin of the leaf, inside with be a gooey "pulp," and that is what you apply to your skin.
Aloe Vera, if you Google its benefits, is very good for skin and healing things.
Here in my State, it is a commonly used thing and most everyone has it growing in their garden.
On Sunday I mistakenly thought I could puree hot soup in my Nutribullet, and ended up getting scalding burns on my wrists. I didn't have any burn remedies in the house, so my husband, an MD, went to Walgreens and picked up "Cooling Burn Relief Spray" and Aloe Vera with menthol and lidocaine. Helped immediately. I can barely tell I got burnt now.
The active ingredients in the burn spray are: Benzocaine and Triclosan. You should be able to find a spray at any drug store.
Aloe for burns is best. Don't use anything with oils it only makes it more painful.
Any burns that blister should be seen by a doctor.
I would use aloe ointment (find one that is 99% pure) or aloe with lidocaine if it hurts a lot.
You do not want it to dry out (keeping it moist will help prevent scarring). Also, especially with the chest burn, you want to make sure to keep it covered so it doesn't get infected. If the blister pops, put neosporin on it and cover it, and change the bandage daily.
Tea Tree Oil will help it heal super fast.
Neosporin is probably the best for healing and Vitamin E like your using is good for scarring.
I just did that the other, but chose to let me curling iron drop to my tile floor. needless to say I have a new curling iron because this time it blew apart. I chose to drop it because I really didn't want to get burned like I have before coz we both know how much it ca hurt :)))))))
Vitamin E.
Pop the vitamin capsule and slather your burn with that. It is miraculous!
Silver sulfadiazine (sometimes called silver sulfide) (aka silvadene) is THE best for burns ... but alas it is still prescription only.
The next best option ... cool compress for up to 20 minutes (no more) two to three times a day. Make sure the towel/rag/whatever is very clean.
Third best option ... for a small burn I'd go with aloe or an over the counter burn med/gel.
Keep LIGHTLY covered (don't "bind" anything around it) to help prevent infection.
definitely go with aloe vera plant! But be warned . . . it is a little stinky :(
