Burley - Single or Double?

We are about to purchase a Burely and would like some opinions on whether we should get the Solo for one or D'lite that seats two. We have one baby who is 12 months and we are uncertain yet if we are going to have a second one or not. Are there any good reasons to buy the D'lite (the two seater) other than having two kids ride in it such as just roomier for a growing baby or to carry toys, etc.? Or is it better to have the Solo that is more compact and liter for traveling.

Thanks for your responses. Based on your feedback, we are going for the two seater today and hopefully will be using it this weekend because it's supposed to be beautiful!!

I have a double. I got it second hand. I really like that it's a double I can fit (2) 5-year olds in it no problem. My daughter and her friend. I hate to admidt this it's kinda embarrassing but I don't need or really want our's anymore it's beat up and my daughter can ride a bike w/out training wheels so let's just say last summer some friends of mine had been drinking and were acting really funny and decided to pull adults around in it. They fit a 200 lb. man in the burley and had no problems. I know that sounds really weird and I don't usually act like that but it was definately a kodak moment. It's definately a "quality" made product. I also have used the two seat to pull my daughter and her soccer equiptment or toys to the our local park. I would definately go with a two seater.

Personally, I'd get the double just in case you decide to have another child. If you don't have another baby you can always use the extra space for all of the stuff (picnic lunch, toys, etc.). We have a single that we've used only 2x and are trying to sell on Craiglist right now.

I highly recommed getting the double. We got one a few years ago when our dd was 1 yo. We ended up having another dd less than a year later, so we were really glad we got the bigger one. They are 5 1/2 and almost 4 now and can both still fit in it. With one child it is nice to have the room for toys, blankets, groceries, etc. We have used ours a lot for running errands and with 2 kids I can still fit a lot in it, but they usually end up crowded. :) With just one child, it is nice because you can bike with a friend and have 2 kids riding together, allowing for a longer bike ride. I love ours.
