It's hard to know without being a physician or seeing it first hand. But, possibly a yeast rash of sorts. My child had one once and the Dr. gave a perscription med. for it. Destin doesn't always work for some rashes. Most other types of over the counter creams have the same types of ingreadiants and my not work either. The prescription types work great. Do take the child to the dr. The rash could go away so much faster and it's so hard to have the child in pain every time it needs a changing. I felt embarrassed the first time I took my child to the Dr. for diaper rash and felt like I must be a bad parent . . . but there are lots of foods and drinks that can irritate that skin area . . rashes can be a common thing. It's not always the parents fault. Please, go ahead and see the Dr. It's in the best interest of the child.
