I agree. The bumbo is great! Like the others said, just don't take your eye off her while she is in it to be safe. I never had an issue, but I have heard that it can be a hazard since there is no seatbelt.

It's just a matter of time for your daughter to sit without any issues. I personally didn't like my bumbo seat, and hardly used it. I used a portable seat like the high chair but they are just the seat that strap into a regular chair(sorry I forgot what they are called). It reclined a bit, so it was perfect. if you put her in the bumbo, or any other seat, just be sure that she is watched all the time, and not on high surfaces.

She is perfectly normal for her age. Lots of kids aren't sitting totally unassisted at this age. What I would do is use your boppy pillow or regular pillows. I use to put it behind my kids, just enough so that if they fall back or to the side they don't crack their head on the floor. But I don't think that using this seat is going to help her sit faster. It doesn't support muscle development, since it supports the baby rather then the baby supporting themselves. They also had a huge recall on these seats because babies where falling over and getting hurt. Give her a couple weeks and you won't need it anyway.

We used a bumbo a lot with both of our babies and I would recommend them to anyone. They're fun to use to let the baby sit up and play or we used it to feed them if we went to a friend's house. (We'd sit on the floor and put the baby in the bumbo......NEVER up on a table or chair.) They are fun and we used ours a ton, but they're not meant to help her sit up any faster. She's only 6 months, she'll sit up on her own soon, with or without the bumbo.

The bumbo is great! You can also use a Boppy, by putting it around her with some toys in front of her. But the bumbo really is a great way to help little ones sit up. Your daughter will love it!

Another seat to try is the BebePod Plus by Prince Lionheart. It comes with a seatbelt, a tray with placemats and an educational toy that clicks onto the tray so that it stays in place.

I sell both the Bumbo and BebePOD Plus and the BebePod sells much better, I think because it has more features including the seat belt.

Hope this helps!

The bumbo was my favorite thing with my third. I highly recommend getting one. Just use it safely...not on high surfaces because there is no belt.

I had a Bumbo and used it for both of my kid when they were that young and still needed support sitting. Just make sure they're on the floor, or, if you have it on a table for feeding, that you *never* leave them unattended. I loved mine and gave it to my girlfriend who just had a baby this past week.
